Here is a brief report:
Day 1: Ray showed me one of his favorite duck spots, but due to high water and low numbers of birds ( sound familiar) we were skunked. He did offer up a nice tour of the area via boat. Beautiful country to say the least.
Day 2: Ray and crew put on a goose shoot to be envied by any and all waterfowlers. Birds worked nice, and shooting was up close and personal. I am happy , no amazed, to report I shot well from the new power hunter. We finished the day with 15 honks downed, and 1 drake mallard, which by my observations may have been half of the entire population of dux in Pennsylvania! (lmao).
Day 3: A very poorly timed and unlucky shot by a deer hunter spooked all birds off the roost and they left the area without giving a look. We did manage to trick a couple small groups and ended with four birds to finish off the hunting on a high note.
Just like to give a shout out to Ray and the guys. Thanks a million for the trip, it was one I will never forget. Simply amazing to watch the birds circle with the mountains in the background. Beautiful country and great people. I hope to return someday, and as always you are welcome in IL anytime, I will even have duckpoor or echo cook breakfast. lol.
P.S. ONE MORE THING. Ray, no matter what duckpoor offers, I will match it. No need for you to go posting pictures on the forums, I have my film and I will handle all the pictures, no need for you to go through the trouble at all!
later,
