Heard some good news from Lake Springfield . Seems like our crew and friends did pretty well .
We had a Big ole nasty storm roll thru and then the evening lined right out and was Nice.

Tell us about it.

Well big storm was right got a wet arse getting bait but things cleared before take off

my regular partner t-roy had to work so i got the tall boy to fish with me,
right off the bat the bite was fast and furious but getting quality fish was tuff
we managed to keep culling and upgrading, but it was tuff culling as i had left the
scale at the house. The bite died at about 11:30 that nite so the last couple hrs
were tuff. We ended up in 4th place in the money ,32lbs and change 6 fish limit (lost 3rd by 4 oz)
we caught 20 somthing fish that nite and one tagged blue.
Needless to say when i got home the scale got calabrated and
put back in the boat.

It was a great nite managed to pay for the trip and make a little for the next time

And the tall boy places in his first catfish tourney

oh and the 2nd and 3rd place boats are good friends of ours so it was a really great nite

Congrats!!! Sounds like a good nite. Where was the tourney?

Lake springfield is were the tourney is held they have one once a month

Went out last nite and they were dumping lots of water out of the lake
which put a lot of current in the lake, We just flat wore them out
they had the feed bag on.

You guys keep points on the season right? So consistency is important I would guess?

yes they keep your 3 biggest weights out of 6 tourneys for the year

for the end of the year stuff , the thing is you have to fish it with
the same person

So with weddings and other stuff ive only fished 2 with 2 different people
which means those 2 weights wont add together

Sounds like an Invite to me...
Better take the guy up on it.

I thought I knew all I needed to about catching them till I got around Timmy..
This one Knows Stuff I never even thought about! Got a whole new Gig from the way us old timers approach the pass time. Its Business ..serious business and he has the tools.

Sounds like a plan, maybe have to just go and watch sometime this year, not sure its in my rehab plans for the bad wing to be crankin in a big cat. But I still got one good arm for beer drinking!
