Hey everyone,

I know times are tough for all of us. Natural disasters, job issues, family issues, retirement issues, take their toll on us all.
A friend of mine here in town, who is really a good person, hard working, always does the right thing, has came upon his
own "disaster" moment.

His son Ethan, who turned 9 in February, was diagnosed in April with restrictive cardiomyopathy. Long story short, he needs a new heart.
He is "stable" now and on April 26 was selected as a transplate candidate at Mayo. Apparently once he receives his new heart, he and his
family will have to relocate to Rochester for a minimum of 90 days. I'm sure insurance will cover a bunch of stuff, but apparently out of pocket
expenses related to the transplant are expected to be $60,000.00.

They are having some local fundraisers, pancakes and silent auctions, but we can also donate directly on line. I'm sure any amount would
be appreciated by this family.

Nothing pulls at my heart strings than a child in a battle for their life. Count me in as well.

I apologize Drew, I am just now seeing this. I'm heading out of town for a few days but when I get back I'm gonna scrap together some change and donate. I hate seeing kids have problems like this.
